The Southern Sudanese government contracted Crown Agents to manage its US$ 400 million procurement budget in 2005 to address urgent development needs after 20 years of civil war. From 2007 we have worked with 22 ministries and 10 state governments on the procurement of goods, works and services.
The objective of the assignment was to undertake procurement on behalf of Line Ministries and other public agencies following the guidelines of the Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) and the government of southern Sudan, for all goods, works and services under operations financed by the government as well as donors. Government officials were also provided with on the job support and mentoring.
