Crown Agents provides regular insights for African health publication

10 April 2012

Crown Agents is joining the debate on health provision in Africa by contributing regular insights into procurement and supply chain management for the bimonthly journal Africa Health.

Africa Health is a review publication dedicated to carrying high-quality health sector related editorial, which is both practical and relevant for Africa. The journal has a special interest in advancing the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of Africa's healthcare workforce, its physicians and other health professionals in Africa.

Africa Health coverCrown Agents is currently a publishing partner of the journal, helping to inform, educate, and increase awareness of global health issues and good practices. So far this year our experts have discussed saving lives through stronger health supply chains and the professionalization of health supply chain managers with future topics including quality assurance of medical supplies and supporting advocacy for improved access to medical supplies.

The collaboration follows last year's 35th Medic Africa Meeting, (also under the same ownership and management as Africa Health) where Crown Agents exhibited and led a lively masterclass on procurement and supply chain management in the health sector.

Crown Agents' director of supply chain services, Bryan Richmond, said: "Africa Health is an admired and respected publication that reaches right into the heart of the health profession in Africa. Crown Agents is very happy to be able to contribute to health systems strengthening through our association with Africa Health."
