Reducing corruption through procurement reform in Kenya

MCC Threshold - Subcontractor to ARD

Kenya | 2007 - 2009

This MCC Threshold Program for Kenya aims to reduce public sector corruption by overhauling the public procurement system, with a specific concentration on health care procurements throughout the supply chain. The ARD/Crown Agents team is focused on the following core activities:

  1. Strengthen the capacity of the newly created Public Procurement Oversight Authority (PPOA);
  2. Design and implement a PPOA internal website;
  3. Roll-out new procurement regulations and guidelines;
  4. Institute proper records management protocols for public procuring entities; and
  5. Support the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) program.

USAID administers this program on behalf of the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
