Crown Agents has partnered with donors and local resources on emergency assistance projects to build capacity and institutional sustainability in Iraq.
We have helped to procure, deliver and install equipment for the health, power and municipal sectors and we also provide technical assistance to strengthen key public sector institutions.
With the Ministries of Finance and Trade we have analysed customs and trade regimes in Iraq in order to develop trade policies, achieve World Trade Organisation accession and build capacity and economic development.
We have also supported the Ministry of Education since 2007 to rehabilitate and build 32 new primary and secondary schools as well as help to procure equipment, furniture, vehicles, train staff and supervise the construction of schools.
From 2004-2006 we helped to improve the day-to-day living conditions of Foreign Office and DFID residents and support staff through catering, laundry and workshop facilities for 60 armoured and general purpose vehicles in Baghdad.
Crown Agents first worked for Iraq more than 80 years ago and our assistance continued after it became an independent sovereign state in 1932.
