Crown Agents' Dhaka office has contributed to the development of Bangladesh across every major sector, particularly transport, health and the water supply.
The governments of Bangladesh and Denmark appointed Crown Agents in 2009 to assist with their Hygiene Sanitation and Water Supply (HYSAWA) project including helping to select suppliers of pipes and pumps and contractors to install them.
Following the blow-out of two gas wells Niko Resources Bangladesh selected Crown Agents from 2005-2008 to study and report damages to surrounding land and wildlife as well as air and water in order to plan recovery.
We also helped improve Fiscal control throughout Bangladesh in line with DFID's Good Governance initiatives by supplying IT equipment and local area networks, resulting in an automated system that links all financial institutions.
The Dhaka office was set up in 1976 in response to the growing volumes of commodity aid flowing into the then newly-independent country.
